Cookies / Storage / Control

Your Browser Choices

Reading a guide does not require a tracking profile. Here is what the supplied site code stores—and how to remove it.

Cookies and local storage are different

A cookie is a small value a website can ask your browser to store and send with relevant requests. LocalStorage stores values in the browser for scripts on the same origin; those values are not automatically included in ordinary page requests.

The supplied static-page code does not set cookies or load analytics, advertising or third-party embedded media. Hosting, security or infrastructure services may have their own technical behavior. Browser cache and hosting logs are separate from the preference value described below.

One explicit preference value

If you use the controls on this page, the site saves scoopwatscenetonic.browser-choice in localStorage with either essential or remember. Its purpose is to display your selected browser choice on a later visit to this page. Neither option enables analytics, advertising or additional tracking.

The value has no automatic expiry in the site code. It remains until you remove it, clear site data, use a temporary browsing session that discards it or your browser removes it. It is specific to the browser profile and origin where it was saved; it does not synchronize through a site account.

Local browser preference

Contact-tool storage

The message builder does not intentionally store your form entries in localStorage or cookies. Copying places text on your device’s clipboard; downloading creates a text file on your device. These actions happen only when you use their controls. Your browser or operating system may separately maintain autofill, clipboard history, downloaded files or session restoration.

Use your browser’s controls

You can clear site data, block storage or use private browsing through your browser settings. Blocking storage does not prevent reading the guides, but the preference control may not be able to remember a choice. Clearing the saved preference does not delete files you downloaded, clipboard history or emails you sent; manage those in the relevant application.
